Dear people,

I call it ‘The Shiny And Astronomically Glittery Random Rewards!’

My friends have finally got me to agree and join them in their ‘Job Hunting’ trip at Pavilion.
I was early and they had transportation problems,
which got me waiting for 2 hours.
That time was spent thinking deeper about getting a job.
Firstly,
I don’t have much options for transportation.
Secondly,
the house will be in shambles.
I definitely can’t depend on my sister.
All she would do was watch anime the whole day.
And my brother will always be there to trash the house, like any other day.
Thirdly,
it’s going to rob me from what I’m focusing on right now.
- A workload of storyboard to compose for my dad.
- Getting my lines right for JAG.
- My blog.
- My college research.
- A high school drama script (my teacher have just reminded me of it)
- An exciting project collaboration with my cousins (this was the product of our breakfast conversations of ‘Parenting’)
It’s a long set of list.
And most of them have deadlines.
Now, is it REALLY worth it for me to get a part-time job?
A couple of days ago, I went to Sushi King at KLCC’s food court.
I only planned to order a take-away of ‘egg mayo’, for only 1 set.
And so I waited by the side for their staff to notice me.
Apparently, none have paid attention.
They probably thought that I’m just some kid waiting for their mommy.
(Friends have said, I look really… childish.)
And so I approached this abang who was making sushi in the restaurant.
My family had lunch at KLCC sometime ago.
The food court was really crowded with the hustle and bustle going on.
We found our place at a small table.
All of us bought our food except for my little brother.
He’s a bit picky about his food, often causing food wastage. So we prefer for him to share our food until he sets his mind on what he wants to eat.
He wanted to try the fried chicken from my dad’s dish.
And we got him an extra plate for that.
But then,
he still can’t eat because he doesn’t has any cutlery with him
.
Before I knew it,
my mom gave him her spoon, and my dad gave out his fork.
Lastly, my mom ate with only a fork and my dad ate with only a spoon.
My brother, on the other hand, had a full set of cutlery- both fork and spoon.
It’s probably no big deal for some,
but this simple gesture shows me something more:
That’s what my parents would do for their child.
They would sacrifice in order to give their child the best possible treatment.
I think it’s amazing how 2 people can work together to sacrifice for what they’ve build up- a family.
