To Cut, Or Not To Cut?

January 2, 2008

I’ve been wanting to cut my hair for ages!

The only thing that held me back was the school’s rules of proper hair management.
Also not fogetting our dearest Mr. Loga with his cane in the left hand, and the scissors in his right hand.

Now that I don’t need to worry about the rules, nor Mr. Loga anymore,
What’s holding me back from cutting my hair?

JUST A GAME.

Yes, ranting over my HAIR,
I know I sound like a bimbo.

But here’s the thing about me.

I-look-young.
Not young as in ‘awek muda’.
But young as in ‘budak kecik’!

So if I cut my hair, there’s no doubt that I’ll hardly look like the age required for the character.

But, I don’t like myself with long hair.
And I dislike it even more since it’s harder to manage!

I figured, I’ll just keep my hair long until the shooting is done.
Sure, no problem.

As if I can put up with this for 7 months of shooting?!?!

But since I’m paidMaybe I should just endure through it?

JOB HUNTING - Is it worth it?

December 30, 2007

My friends have finally got me to agree and join them in their ‘Job Hunting’ trip at Pavilion.

I was early and they had transportation problems,
which got me waiting for 2 hours.
That time was spent thinking deeper about getting a job.

Firstly,
I don’t have much options for transportation.

Secondly,
the house will be in shambles.
I definitely can’t depend on my sister.
All she would do was watch anime the whole day.
And my brother will always be there to trash the house, like any other day.

Thirdly,
it’s going to rob me from what I’m focusing on right now.

  • A workload of storyboard to compose for my dad.
  • Getting my lines right for JAG.
  • My blog.
  • My college research.
  • A high school drama script (my teacher have just reminded me of it)
  • An exciting project collaboration with my cousins (this was the product of our breakfast conversations of ‘Parenting’)

It’s a long set of list.
And most of them have deadlines.

Now, is it REALLY worth it for me to get a part-time job?

Open Days- Taylor’s and Sunway’s

December 4, 2007

Throughout this time, I’ve been trying to monitor colleges Open Days.

The ones that are really worth the mention would be Sunway’s and Taylor’s open days.

Both are private colleges who are experienced in conducting events- successfully.

I would prefer to go to events from colleges whose students are reputed to have good communication and management skills.

Sunway and Taylor are some of the very few.

Taylor is holding an open day on this 7th-9th December 2007 (Friday - Sunday)

For more info, check their website- Taylor’s College.

Sunway is holding an open day on the 16th December 2007 (Sunday)

More info at their website- Sunway College

During their open days, they’ll have multiple of talks going on at the same time, in different auditoriums.

This means that you can only choose ONE talk out of the given choices.

Although I’m strong with my decisin to take Communications, I’m still going to consider having a look-through at Accountings.

For some of the times, these 2 talks overlap (which mostly happens during Sunway’s open day).

Then I’ll have to make my decision.

The pictures below shows the time table:

The ones highlighted in purple are my choices.

The green arrows shows the talks I would really like to go to.

While the ones in yellow represents the talks that I might have to go to- because it’s a safer course for me to venture.

There’s a difference between like and have.

It’s a good thing thatI don’t have to have much trouble in choosing the talks for Taylor’s.

But Sunway’s talk schedules are a bit f a problem for me.

I’ll have to eventually choose later.

Confusions Clouding

November 26, 2007

When your interest lies more on the creative arts sector, it’s hard to convince your family to support you if you do want to further studies with that.

Like most students, I’m facing that problem too.

Families would think of the best for us. Which subjects has a wide prospect. And given that the family is a protective member, they would choose the best subject that can provide us with security for our future.

You, on the other hand, would usually be selfish and think of what interests YOU and ONLY you.

Afterall, you are the one who has to go through 4 years of studying. You are the one that will most probably be stuck with that subject for LIFE.

If I were to be stuck with a particular subject scope for life,  I’d at least want it to be something that I enjoy. Something that will make me feel very happy, drives me to improve myself.

I don’t want to suffer through the subjects that my family have decided- but in turn, I’m not comfortable with.

What I’d like to learn: Communication and Media scope

What I should be choosing: Accounting or Finance

It’s not as easy to break free and go on with my own independent interests.

Despite reaching 18, I’m still under their care. And they are still covering all the support I needed in life. So it’s also a matter of ‘family respect’.
