The MiaB Mural

March 23, 2008

When I went back to school,
I made a mental note to pay a last visit to the MiaB mural.

What is the MiaB mural?

It is what I would call as the
‘unsung scream of angst’ in school.

If you look at the mural normally,
you wouldn’t know that there was a very RAW message painted on it.

The 5G Mural

But if I point you to a certain space,
then you can definitely read the bold sentence of it.

Can you see it yet?

See why I find it as a unique class mural?
Because the words are actually noticeable,
but people won’t notice it unless you point it to them.

The story of this mural?

There is a teacher in school, let’s assume that it’s a guy by the name of “Has”.

The students in 5G were painting the mural of the class.

Has came in and observed their mural.

Has insisted that they paint over it because one section of the mural had slight implications of ’sexual contents’.

Annoyed, most of the painters went inside the class and screamed their heads off.

But one painter remained calm and continued painting.
She decided that it was better to express her dissatisfaction in the form of art.

And that’s how the MiaB mural is created.

The hidden wonders of SBS?

Cikgu Jazreen

January 22, 2008

Before I go on, let me entertain myself with this illustration of the ‘future me’,
in regards to the above title.

Cikgu Jazreen

I think I’m going through this phase called ‘lonely’.

I’m feeling so cooped up at home.
I need to go out regularly and meet new people.
Or maybe, just see another light of the old friends I have.

Which is practical for me to have the idea of getting a job crawling in my head all the time.
I would most probably step down after a week of work because I get bored of it.

Yesterday, I went back to my school, SBS.
It was all because my friend have forced me to accompany her.
She was supposedly missing the school atmosphere like crazy.

The school is very different now. They’re having a hard time struggling through just one more day at school.

Reasons for this is that a lot of the teachers are transferred to other schools.
Most of them are favorite teachers of ours.

Why are all these happening now?
Hohoho.
They said that it was because of the ‘penderhakaan’ towards *eheMeheM*.
With that, SBS’s warga-warga Hang Jebat is no more to be seen.

No la.
There’s a more logical explanation to it.

After hanging out in the teacher’s office,
I got to know that the school is in need for at least 7 more teachers.

Applications are open.
Even for a minor student like me!
(An ex-classmate actually applied for it.)

Officially Graduated

November 30, 2007

I had Accounts Paper 1 this morning.

I’ve always performed consistently in this subject, and I’ve studied 3 days beforehand.

I completed the test and even had about 45 minutes extra.

And so I sat there for the remaining time thinking deep.

So now, I’ve past High School- then what?

Okay, college. What course am I going to study?

Maybe college is still too far, think of what you’re going to do during these holidays.

Jobs? Sure. What job should it be? Where should it be?

I don’t have much clue on what I should be doing later.

The last few moments as a High School student was spent thinking about the future plans.

Which direction am I heading? And what should I be doing to lead me THERE?

As soon as the examiner picked up my last answer sheet,

I can see people beside me are already smiling widely.

They shouted “MERDEKA! MERDEKA! BANZAI!”

I didn’t join them cheering this out. It’s probably because I’ve realized that there are a lot more things for me to settle later. So the ending of SPM does not really means - FREEDOM- for me.
